What is My Purpose?

Hello everyone!

You know, I’ve thought a lot about this question and the following post I wrote in 2013 entitled, What is The Purpose of Life?, these last 2-1/2 years, for so many reasons. I think I come back to it again and again because it offers me hope that through the fear and darkness we’re all living in these days, I know, deep in my heart, that lightness will prevail. And, when it does, won’t it be glorious?

Last August, I re-read my post, What is The Purpose of Life? through the eyes of a widow and I found some comfort in my own words.

Excerpt:

“There is so much wisdom to be gained from a negative experience but it can take some time for the wisdom to be recognized. Healing needs to take place before we can recognize it sometimes. Give yourself time to heal.”

Allowing myself the time to heal. That was the message that stood out for me then. Ten months later, I continue to push myself forward trying to rebuild my life, and “re-purpose” my life.

I still haven’t healed enough to realize why Hank left this physical world, and why now? But I know I’m farther along in my journey than 10 months ago, learning, growing, evolving into…this person who survived tragic loss and is still here. The wisdom will come, I’m sure, in time. And that brings me comfort.

For those of you who have ever asked this question or are trying to find your purpose, I hope you discover your own message, and perhaps some comfort, in the post as well.

It starts:

“Two weeks ago, Tony from NY asked: What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? I could also hear his concern about all the negative things that you see and read about and what kind of purpose those have, if any. I know he’s not alone, I know most, if not all of us, have these same questions and concerns throughout our lifetime so I wanted to expand upon my answer. Tony, I hope you’re listening.”

P.S. Tony was a caller to my radio show, Messages From The Other Side, and we had a wonderful conversation about his question, only to find out afterwards that the show hadn’t recorded! It was the only episode in more than three years of my show that didn’t record. Hmmm…

Messages From The Other Side #12 – June 2, 2019

Hello, everyone!

Spirit called for me to do something different today, on the 10-year mark of my mother’s passing.

I’m talking about grief: how to honor your own journey with grief and how to honor your loved one who has passed away…which, in turn, honors your grief.

This is also for those who may not have suffered a loss but may want to help a friend, family member, or colleague/co-worker with their grieving.

Grab a glass of water or a cup of tea, and sit back as I help you acknowledge all the ways you already are honoring your loved one(s) who have passed away, and also acknowledge and honor your own journey with grief.

I hope you find this video helpful, and healing.

Love and light,

~Lisa

The Differences (and Similarities) Between Psychics and Mediums

Hello, everyone!

I’d like to start blogging again on a regular basis so, to get myself into the swing of things, I’ll be posting either episodes of my radio show, Messages From The Other Side, or previous blog posts/newsletters for a few weeks while working on finding my new voice. Life is a process, isn’t it?

In this episode of Messages From The Other Side, I discuss the differences & similarities between Psychics & Mediums. PLUS, listen in as Abraham Lincoln & hot-buttered popcorn are referenced in the mini-reading. I may not know the significance of these two things, but the caller does! Great validations from Spirit. 💞

Also, this episode is unusual for a couple of reasons!

1) The caller is a man. Interestingly enough, it’s very rare for a man to call into my show (in three+ years, I believe I’ve had maybe 3 or 4 male callers). I love it when they do call, though, because it helps spread the word that it’s okay for men to be interested in this topic! (My husband was fascinated by my abilities, and also felt his own connection to the Divine over the years.) It’s okay for men to be spiritual. It’s okay for men to want to connect with their loved ones on the Other Side!

And, 2) I reference Abraham Lincoln and hot-buttered popcorn in this mini-reading. What? 😀 These two things may not mean anything to me but they carry significance to my caller, and that’s what counts! It’s not for me to interpret what I’m being shown or told by Spirit. It’s the caller’s/client’s interpretation that matters. Spirit is referring to themselves and their lives together, not mine.

Although, sometimes Spirit does have me tell a personal story which then usually relates directly or indirectly to my client. I love it when that happens so specifically!

Frankly, this is the most fun aspect of doing readings. All sorts of intriguing images, phrases, idiosyncrasies are given to me by Spirit and I love listening to how they validate Spirit’s interactions with my clients while they were here physically, as well as how they validate Spirit’s observations and interactions with them in the present from the Other Side!

Please relax and enjoy this October 2018 episode of  Messages From The Other Side episode.

Love and light,

~Lisa
